I am busy with commission work and thought I would post some older pieces that I have never shown before on the web or in the galleries I have been affiliated with over the years.
This was a commissioned piece I did about 3 or 4 years ago titled "Laid Back". This was a large oil on linen about five or six feet long.

Wow! You really paint faces beautifully and like the last one, the posture in this one expresses a lot.
I have a problem painting big. Do you just work a small section at a time after the initial lay-in?
I'm currently working on a 36x36" portrait and am feeling overwhelmed. I hate working with brushes over size #12
This is so sensual, languid and ethereal. very beautiful.
Silvina,
I try to work a smaller section at a time , particularly the face and hands. I use very large brushes when working the fabric. These things are not always set in stone. Working large is really a challenge. I will be starting some 4x6, 5x4, etc. size pieces for a gallery that reps me here in NJ. I 'll let you know how it feels. It has been a while since I have gone that large.
Thanks Dani!
Princess Haiku,
She was very sensual. Thanks!
I have just discovered your site. You are a master painter to say the least. I can see influences by Egon Sciele et Lucien Freud. There is so mush fluidity in your brushstrokes, and your colour palette is subtly refreshing .I could comment on several pieces, as they each have there distinct qualities. Continued success.
